This drink is amazing!! The recipe is perfect as is, but when we ran out of chocolate liqueur, we substituted kahlua and a bit of hazlenut cream, and it was just as good!Great drink, but be warned - it can do some damage ;o)-01 Jan 2009

This was a pretty good dessert in a glass. I used chocolate martini mix instead of chocolate liquer. The irish cream was the dominant flavor. But it hit the spot...kind of strong, but perfect for an early evening dessert drink.-14 Feb 2010

Spiced rum and Guinness form the backdrop for this tempting creation from the Hard Rock Cafe. The Twist and Shout is a fun blend that uses vanilla ice cream and crème de cacao liqueur. It gets really interesting when you add salted caramel syrup and bacon crumbles.

A yummy Martini.

This is an optional process. You will enjoy the extra chocolate but the Martini will still be delicious without these Hershey&rsquos syrup steps.

  • Begin with a chilled martini glass
  • Twirl your martini glass through the chocolate syrup
  • A chocolate syrup rim on a martini glass
  • Pipe on chocolate around the glass
  1. Rim your glass as shown.
  2. Drizzle hershey&rsquos chocolate syrup around the middle of a chocolate martini glass.
  3. Now place glass in the freezer while the cocktail is being made.

This Eggnog Martini is a Classic

Three simple ingredients and a little shake or stir, garnished with a cinnamon stick and a little holiday glitter sugar, and you’ve got the perfect drink for Christmas Eve. It’s a tradition in our family to have eggnog with a touch of rum on Christmas Eve but I think this just might be the start of a new tradition. It’s that yummy!

Indulge in this eggnog martini while getting cozy in front of the fireplace. This martini has the rich, creamy taste of eggnog, with the distinct flavors of vanilla and hazelnut and a nice kick of cinnamon. Stay warm and have a very merry Christmas. Cheers!

Panna Cotta Recipe

YIELD: 8 servings

** 4 cups of HEAVY cream (option - can use some Half & Half)

** Vanilla bean (can swap out with 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract)

** 6 tablespoons of cold water

** Combine the cream and sugar in a sauce pan

** Heat until the sugar is dissolved (yes, you can microwave). You are just looking for a "dissolve"

** Scrape out the seeds from the vanilla bean

** Add BOTH the seeds and the pod to the cream mixture

** Put the lid on the pot - pull it off the burner and walk away

** Stay away for 30 minutes (you are letting the bean and seeds infuse)

** After 30 minutes pitch the bean and seeds (throw away)

** Rewarm the creamy vanilla mixture (slowly)

** Lightly *grease* the custard cups (NO - olive oil or flavored oils)

** Sprinkle the gelatin over the 6 tablespoons of cold water. Make sure the bowl is big enough because you will be adding the cream mixture to THIS bowl.

** Let the gelatin water mixture sit about 10 minutes

** Pour the RE-warmed cream mixture OVER the gelatin mixture

** Stir until everything is combined.

** Pour into your custard cups (or whatever you will be using - ramekin, panna cotta mold, wine glass, martini glass..)

** Let them stand at least 4 hours (IN THE FRIDGE)

Just in time for Valentine’s day….ladies, if your guy hasn’t put a ring on it yet this will surely sway him in that general direction. I can’t guarantee he’ll run off to Tiffany’s but maybe if you pair Meghan Markle’s roast chicken with this Chocolate Martini you’ll be engaged by Easter. Fingers crossed.

This easy cocktail is based off of one my husband and I used to throw back, like literally, chug like animals….at a restaurant near us. The bartender totally nailed the recipe and started everything off with creamy Godiva chocolate liquor. So, you could call it a Godiva Chocolate Martini recipe but I don’t really know what is totally in that official recipe so this is all mine.

How To Make It

Making the best Chocolate Martini is so simple to do. You only need a few ingredients to get you started.

Ingredients You Will Need

  • Godiva Chocolate Liquor or other chocolate liquor
  • Creme de Cacao
  • Vodka
  • Half and Half
  • Chocolate Syrup, optional
  1. Fill your cocktail shaker with ice.
  2. Add the chocolate liquor, creme de cacao, vodka and half and half.
  3. Shake for about 20 seconds to blend the ingredients.
  4. Line a glass with chocolate syrup.
  5. Pour your chocolate martini in a glass.

Is Creme de Cacao and Chocolate Liquor the same thing?

So, short answer….yes. Creme de Cacao is a chocolate flavored liquor made from the cacao bean and has a slight vanilla flavor to it. It’s clear in color whereas chocolate liquor has a creamy consistency and comes in both cocoa (brown) and white chocolate (white) flavors.

If you want to make a White Chocolate Martini, I would suggest using the white chocolate liquor and the creme de cacao. If you can’t find creme de cacao, you can substitute with Kahlua and have very similar tasting results.

We absolutely LOVE this Ultimate Chocolate Martini recipe. It’s quick and simple and doubles as a dessert in a glass. It’s definitely a hit with everyone I serve it to.

  • Vodka – Start with a good, quality vodka. You can use plain, raspberry or vanilla flavored vodka for mixing up Chocolate Martinis. Note, the flavored vodkas will make the cocktail sweeter than plain vodka would.
  • Chocolate Liqueur – Chocolate liqueur puts the chocolate in your chocolate martini. Well, that and a little chocolate syrup, if you should choose to use it. You can use white or dark chocolate liqueur/creme de cacao for this recipe.
  • Half-and-Half – The higher the fat content in the dairy, the less you’ll taste the bite of the booze. In fact, you could even use heavy whipping cream for a Chocolate Martini with a full-bodied, rich mouthfeel. On the other hand, if you’re a vodka connoisseur and you don’t want to miss a thing, feel free to sub in whole milk for the half-and-half.

All liqueurs are made from a base liquor (e.g. vodka, gin, rum, etc…) with flavor added to it. In the case of Chocolate Liqueur, chocolate is the flavor added to the base liquor.

  • Tempus Fugit Créme de Cacoa
  • Patron XO Cafe Dark Cocoa
  • Dorda Double Chocolate Liqueur
  • Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
  • Bicerin Italian Chocolate Liqueur
  1. Add Ingredients To Ice-Filled Shaker – Add vodka, chocolate liqueur, and half-and-half to a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
  2. Shake – Add the lid and shake vigorously for 30 to 45 seconds.
  3. Strain – Strain into a martini glass, serve, and enjoy!

If you don’t have a shaker or martini glasses, you can still make this cocktail at home! Simply combine all of the ingredients in a rocks glass filled with ice and stir. Then, serve and enjoy!

Enjoy a creamy espresso martini cocktail by using Baileys Irish Cream with the vodka and espresso. Replace the creme de cacao and coffee liqueur with 2 ounces of Baileys.

If you are looking to reduce the amount of alcohol in the martini, using Baileys will help. Decrease the amount of vodka and increase the amount of Baileys Irish Cream to taste.
